Asia’s imports of crude oil slipped slightly in April from March, as increased arrivals in China failed to offset lower purchases elsewhere in the world’s top-importing region. Greece imports no LNG in April for first time in five years

Greece has imported no LNG in April for the first time in five years, as gas prices in the region have made LNG uneconomical. The country has imported anywhere between 34,000 mt and 336,000 mt of LNG per month in the past five years, according to S&P Global Commodity Insights data. PetroVietnam Gas GAS.HM has issued a tender seeking a cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to be delivered in the last week of May, three industry sources said. Russian energy giant Gazprom’s GAZP.MM average daily natural gas supplies to Europe declined in April by 6% from March but rose 10.3% year on year, Reuters calculations showed on Thursday. Ukraine’s grain exports rose to 6.3 million metric tons in April from 5.5 million in March, agriculture ministry data showed on Wednesday. India is unlikely to impose tariffs on exports of low-grade iron ore for now despite rising overseas sales to China, a source with direct knowledge of the matter said, turning down requests from small steel producers. The highest price offered in the tender from Turkey’s state grain board TMO to sell and export 100,000 metric tons of durum wheat on Tuesday was assessed at $371.71 a ton FOB, traders said. Iraq exported about 106.11 million barrels of crude oil in March, the country’s Oil Ministry announced.
